Good luck with your enterprises.

Thought you might like to know the inspiration for the Feggy Wood stories.
At our previous house we became friendly with the farmer neighbour. His son had multiple problems with Autism, ADHD(?) He collected model animals. He had every sort from aardvark to zebras. The problem was that he used to wander all over the farm and leave his models wherever he went. So I wrote a story about Glenda the Wendle who wended her way through the wood and met up with the animals which he had dropped. He called his models by mixed up names, so I used his versions in the story. So, squirrel became squarrel and badger became budger etc. Feggy Wood actually exists by the way.

I say newest, I actually wrote this story over 40 years ago, but never really did anything with it until now.
Reworked and woked!

Thats good news John and thank you for confirming and I'm pleased to note Bank Genie is doing the job for you :)

No need to worry - Bank Genie , Ideas Genie and Flower Genie will all run on Windows 11 when you do upgrade your hardware.

Thank you George!

My fault for not checking for updates (and not running regular backups).

Updates installed and a backup successfully run.

I can't believe I have been running Bank Genie now for nearly 10 years and in that time I've only changed my PC once. Apparently my current one is not compatible with Windows 11, so I guess a change of PC will be required at some point in the future.

Its that wonderful time of year again!
I hope you have passed the frantic stage (Christmas shopping!) and are ready to relax and enjoy precious time with your friends and family :D

Last week was bitterly cold here in Ireland (around 2 to 4 degrees C) but mercifully the forecast predicts we will have 11 to 12 degrees C) over Christmas.

From our family to yours, we wish you a very Happy Christmas, good health and good luck in the New Year and beyond.

Hi John

There has not been much activity on the Bank Genie forum in 2024
Indeed John and that's good news for me :)
Bank Genie has been running smoothly for some time now.
In the New Year, I plan to publish some tips and tricks which some users may not be aware of.

file SECRTS is missing
That message means your system has not been kept up to date.
Two things for you to do to get up to date with latest changes.

1.
Under the Help tab, run the program Check for updates.
Install any updates that program initialises for you.

2.
Under the File tab, run the program Special-BS912.
It should indicate Version 28 in the title bar.
Running that program will create the missing file SECRTS for you.
That file is used by the investments program in Bank Genie Pro 6 (which you have) to record Securities.

Does that help?
