More Siberia
« on: February 02, 2009, 06:54:50 PM »
At 8.00am this morning taken through the sitting room window, to part of the front garden.
It then stopped for most of daylight hours, then started again about 4.00pm, still snowing now.

Had periods of very heavy snowfall here yesterday, laying between 2 to 3 inches deep.

By early evening it had turned to rain, clearing away most of the snow.

This morning the snow has completely gone.

For the 4th night running it is snowing, not just a little, but lots.
Just been out and taken this.

Sorry to hear that Malcolm.

It seems that the north and south are getting it quite bad at the moment.  I heard on the radio at 5.30pm that Scotland were having snow and icy conditions making the roads dangerous for travelling.

Here today, it's been cold but sunny and dry.

Don't know how long that will last though, so we're not gloating.  ;)

Laurie.

Hold the front page - it's just this minute started to snow again (9.30am).  :(

The roads and paths are dry, so if it continues it's going to lay.

I just knew we hadn't seen the last of it.  Ho-hum.  ::)

Laurie.

The snow has finally reached Inverness, I'll knock the snow off the box hedging then head for home.
