Asters now in flower!
« on: September 26, 2009, 01:36:01 PM »
Heres a few pics taken rather quickly today - rather quickly as the girls were all heading to my grandsons birthday party (the one for kids). 2nd party later form the bigger children ;)

My Asters are now in bloom, more than a week after Malcolm and Eric posted photos of their plants. One of the downsides for me  living in cooler and wetter Ireland ;D

Look at those Californian poppies (er, Eschscholzia californica :D) - they've been blooming all summer!

And when it comes to plant of the moment, what about this:

Two varieties of Schizostylis coccinea steal the show here.

People? Oh, youve noticed PEOPLE in the photos?
Oooops sorry (tee hee)
My sister Vera (left with Sophie), my better half Mary (with Emily), Alison (on the right, Veras daughter in law) and her wee model daughters Emily and Sophie.

And here we have the girls in their party dresses:

and Alison gets a big hug!

Very nice photos of your currently blooming plants there George (and nice ones of your relatives too  ;) )

That reminds me - I must take the opportunity to get into our garden and see what's blooming its socks off to show you all.

Having a brief respite in our decorating marathon at the moment.  ::)
