Non flowering plant records
« on: October 20, 2009, 11:51:02 AM »
Hi George,

I've just done a printout in 100s18 of the genus Asplenium and noticed that because it's of course a non flowering genus, there were lots of ' Flowering time not recorded' and 'flower size not recorded' notifications. Do you think that it might be worth making provision for non flowering plants in some way (in 100s36?) so that the printouts are all positive rather than it looking like these factors have been forgotten by the compiler? It would at least remove unnecessary matter from the printouts. 100s18 by the way is an excellent 'hidden' feature.

Best regards,

Trevor

Hi Trevor
Yes, I've looked at the program code behind that button and it should be easy enough to change.
I have to say it would look much better being blank when not defined.
Will do!

Same goes for Spread and Height?

Yes please for the spread, as I don't personally use that.

I agree Trevors suggestions would keep the printouts tidy

Very difficult to define Height and Spread as so different between gardens given different aspect, soil etc.

You are going to be a busy boy with IGpro this winter  ;D

I just wish I was back to it Malcolm. I'm still developing this new edition of Bank Genie - Cambridge Edition.
Mind you, the new things I've introduced into that new product will find their way into the other products and hopefully when you see the new IG pro upgrade you'll excuse me for the time out.

Those changes will be nice 8)
