Isn't it lovely to walk through the garden and get a whiff of a beautiful scent
This week, its the delightful fragrance of Choisya ternata. With some scent, you get one whiff, and thereafter its elusive, and difficult to trace the source. I found one (eventually) to be a white heather, another to be a Rhodo!
Choisya lingers, and its really enjoyable to work in the garden in its vicinity.
When I walked from the car last night on a visit to Simons house, I caught another beautiful scent.
This one was really elusive. I "lost" it when we went to trace the source.
We concluded that it was a young Sorbus. Mine is quite exquisite when in bloom with the same scent which I caught at first. However, when we had a sniff of the clump of flowers - presumably the source - they had a strong, but less pleasing smell. Anyone noticed that before?
