Thanks Chrissie!

Just back from visiting at the hospital. Mum, Dad and child are doing fine.
His name is Odhran Patrick (Kelly). Pronunciation here:

It will take a little getting used to!

Simon took lots of photos, so will have those soon.

Very proud-looking parents and grand-parents there George, and a beautiful baby boy.

Great pictorial record of a special and treasured event.

Please pass on Kathy's and my best wishes to Keelin and Simon.

Laurie.

Will do and thanks Kathy and Laurie.

Simon bought a Canon EOS 500D last week so he could take photos indoors without flash. I'm impressed with the quality! It arrived just in time - Odhrán arrived a week early!

And very best wishes to you Peter. Please drop in more often. It would be a pleasure to hear from you.
Simon and Keelin have gone for an Irish name for our grandson:
Odhrán Patrick
We've discovered that Odhrán is quite a popular name at present, in its different rhythmic forms - Orin, Orrin etc.

Congratulations, George and to the whole family. I have only just seen this. Lovely pictures too.

Boys of course is what I always expect, having three sons, six grandsons and one great grandson. I have one granddaughter. I don't know how that happened   ;D. I always tell her she is my favourite granddaughter.

Thank you Eric, and I had a good laugh reading your message.

Yes, I have the same joke to play on my only daughter when I write cards etc.
Nowadays that goes in reverse:
Hi Tara, its your favourite daddy.
To which she replies excitedly Ah! Hi Michael ;D ::) :D.

I have two sisters and one bro.
My sister had 2 boys. She expected a girl 3rd time around. Boy ::)
She was resigned to fate 4th time around, which was rather fortunate. Another boy.
Now she has 5 granddaughters, and no grandsons!

Just love them all :)

We've just had a Skype session with Simon, Keelin and Odhrán, a nice surprise.

Thanks Paul
Soon we will have to allocate a new patch for Odhrán's garden!
His big cousin James will gladly help! We have him three days a week after primary school. He's great company in the garden and loves to help.
