I have been in consultation with George today regarding ways of getting our members involved more in what George refers to as his 'software challenges'.
Every so often a certain feature of one of his programs gets raised on the Forum. For example, it may be something a user has come across that they have never tried before and would like more hands-on experience, or a feature that requires a bit more explanation.
The Forum is an ideal place to raise such questions, as everyone benefits from this knowledge, not only expert help from George but other members as well. This is why it is so important that we get as many people who buy George's software to register on the Forum and participate as much as possible.
As an added incentive to get more Forum support, I have created a small graphical award in the form of a rosette which we have called 'Genie Challenges'.
A list of 'challenges' will appear on the 'Product support website' -
http://www.ideasgenie.com/ so they're all in the one place to follow along with at any time. However, in order to be awarded a rosette on successful completion of any of these challenges, you must have registered on the Forum and take an active part.
George himself will decide on which member/s are to receive this award and I will do the necessary topic amendment so everyone can see the progress of each challenge.
It's all a bit of extra fun really. There's no monetary award, and it's not intended to be a one-upmanship scheme. It's more about each member attaining a personal achievement, and being recognised for their efforts. This help has always been given in the past on the Forum anyway, but we're hoping this will help to generate a bit more involvement from more people.
We appreciate that some people don't have the time to get involved in Forum activities, or they are a bit shy about 'talking' with strangers, and that they'll be ridiculed for asking silly questions. That is certainly not the case on this Forum. All of our current members are very polite and extremely helpful. George is sometimes very busy in the development of his software, so as his right-hand man I closely monitor Forum activities. If any new members get through who do become deliberately abusive, they will be immediately dealt with. George vets any new membership very closely anyway, so this should be an extremely rare occurrence.
So, an urgent plea to all those who haven't looked in on our Forum yet to please get involved and give George the support he so rightly deserves.
Here is a reduced sized sample of the award that readily awaits all our members who successfully rise to the 'Genie Challenges' set by George:
