Little and Large
« on: May 15, 2012, 05:24:51 PM »

The flowers on this Arenaria are less than 2 mm across. Would have to go out to the Alpine house to find its name, not the usual one of A.  tetraquetra though.
Bit bigger.

This is a form of Iris cristata called Capt. Collingwood-ingram. It is about 4 cms across and the same height.

8 inches across Paeony flower.

Great set of photos there Eric  8)

I guess you've got more control over the environment in your Alpine House.  Outdoor plants must be so confused by the ultra-changeable weather conditions we're experiencing at the moment.  At least you're getting a good consistent display indoors anyway.

Thanks for sharing.

Laurie.
