Cleaned up this flower bed today, and wondered what to do about a shapeless looking Box plant.
Every time we visit Simons house, Odhran plays his favourite video for us - Thomas and his friends.
So, in a moment of utter madness, I decided to make that plant into Thomas.

Trying your hand at a bit of topiary now George I see 

Next you'll be needing Edward the Blue Engine, Henry the Green Engine, Gordon the Big Engine... not that I know any of these characters of course

Yes, Laurie, it was a bit of fun.
I was very surprised how easy it was to get that shape in one clipping - hedge clippers and secateurs for thicker stems. I thought it would have needed a bit of training after clipping it so severely.

and... Ive been corrected
Thomas is blue and as you know from a previous posting, that young Odhran fella is not colour blind!
Thought I'd get away with a switch to a family name, but James is Red
So, a possible rename  - Odhran has models of Percy the No 6 green engine.
We'll see what Odhran decides
