Restoring the Master Database to your LIVE folder

PLEASE NOTE: This procedure will OVERWRITE the data in your LIVE folder
If you have added plants in your LIVE database and wish to keep them, then you should save your live files to a SWAP folder before doing this procedure otherwise, to emphasise,  they will be LOST.

A new customer has sent me an email stating (in essence) :

I've been trying to figure out how to get the entire (Master) database onto my pc and available through IG Pro (on start-up).
It is my intention to use IG Pro to search / research through the database.

Heres how:

1. Put the Master Database CD in the drive.
2 Start Ideas Genie Pro
3 Run program System (menu tab)>System Paths -GA197
In Alternate System Backup Path click the Get a directory button.
Find and select the igdata folder on the CD. If your CD is d:, it will be:
d:\igdata_sets\igmaster\igdata\
Locate it, and Select it
Click Save Changes. (GA197 closes)

4 Start the program System > Restore Files -GA203
Change the Restore From pop-up to Alternate Backup Directory (folder)
The Files will be restored from this folder field should read
d:\igdata_sets\Master Database\igdata\
as entered in GA197 above
Click Do Test
If all files are intact, the Step 2 - Continue button will become enabled (Black instead of Grey)
Click the Step 2 - Continue button
Screen GA203S02 appears.
Click Do Restore

Job done
