Please refrain from calling this a Program Hickup Isabell. Its not, and I fear making other members "nervous". George, what else would you call it?
A Hickup comes unexpectantly and it unexpectantly goes away again, most times. This thing which says 'check your data source settings, may have changed', has never before popped up since I used IGpro or IGpro5 and I switch constantly now between both Data sources (Veg/flower). So I am sorry, to me it is a hickup, maybe you got another more fitting name but I don't.
I also am not sure if you clearly understand what happened and when it happened, because your description does not sound like what I described in my post.
you wrote >>When you quit one program, and start another:
The pop-up setting persists.
The system issues the message 'Check you Data Source- may have changed'
Well, its for your own protection, to remind you that you are using an alternative database.<<but I didn't quit one program and start another.I switched from my Main Data base which is flower to the second Database called Vegetable and this 'Check you Data Source- may have changed' has never come up before when I switch, so either it is supposed to pop up every time or it is not, or it comes up in a certain scenario (which I don't know about) but there I followed the same procedure every time, as described by you in your helpful e-mails, you would think it would have happened before and it didn't. So I think either it mistakenly comes up or it mistakenly never came up before.
All I am saying is, this 'Check you Data Source- may have changed' I have never seen before although I am following same 'switch Data base' procedures. If it is a regular part of the procedure, wouldn't I have seen it before?
And if it is not, why have I not seen it before? Those are the questions you have not answered.
Everything you describe below how to switch, is exactly what I have been doing and I never saw that warning.
When you run programs:
Don?t change the Data Source pop-up setting after you SWITCH from your start-up (FLOWERS) database to your VEG database.
When you wish to look at the data in your Backup folders
You can SWITCH if you wish, but remember its your backup
You can use the Data Source pop-up
I have never changed the Data Source pop-up settings after I switched.
All I do I, is switch to my last Switch folder (D: Veg, then as advised by you I check the folders in GA200 and if all is correct I proceed to whatever program I want to use. The popup warning 'check your data source settings, may have changed' comes up after I open up a program like GA004 or GA022. Which today it again did not pop up yet after the switch. It only comes up the first time I open up a program after the switch. After I can open and close programs and it does not come up anymore.
So, if you tell me it is not a problem, and so far it has not caused a problem aside being surprised and worried to lose everything again, then ok.
And one more thing.
If you don't want anymore input from me, about things not working right or being unexpectant. I will stop asking.
I thought you like input from customers and it helps you to improve/better the program, but maybe I was wrong.
Have a good day
Isabell
