Broadband speeds
« on: March 02, 2012, 10:08:12 AM »
I have been suffering from terrible broadband speeds. I never got more than 1 mb/second download speed and sometimes it got to as low as 400kb/second. It was far to slow to stream videos and looking at televison programmes was not on. To my delight they have just laid fibre optics to a junction box outside the old village post office which is about 1/3 mile as the crow flies across the common from us. I thought I would take the plunge and ordered BT Infinity Broadband which they have just installed. I am astonished. I have just checkrd and I am now getting a download speed of over 25mb/sec 25 times as fast! ;D

Here endeth the sponsored ad  :)

It will be a happy day when you get that Eric (palustris).
Ive had BT Infinity for a few months now Eric (phew - Mr Hardy that is) and my greatest benefit is in uploading files - program updates and my downloadable products.
Ideas Genie Pro is over 50 mb and Bank Genie Pro is over 30 mb. They whiz up to the server now!

Don't dispair. Eric, ours arrived 15 months after the promised date so yours might be imminent.

Won't hold my breath. Even then we will only get a little better than we are getting now via our Satellite.
