Viewing lassoed plants
« on: June 22, 2009, 11:30:38 PM »

Having played with lasooing plants, I now have two lassoed with coordinates on a garden picture.

It's getting late, and I am wondering where I should go to view the picture with the lassoed plants, will they show up when I mouse over the lassoed area?

Hooray! Good to see you exploring that feature.
For the benefit of others who havent tried this yet, Lassoing is done in GA005.

To see the results of your good work do this:
Run the Gardens Slideshow - GA014
The slide show images are displayed in screen GA014S14
Keep an eye on the Title Bar
If it says n plants have coordinates, click Pause

a)
Click on a plant in the image (must have coordinates set in GA005) then release and move the mouse slightly.
The plant name will appear as tooltip text

-OR-

b) Click the Names button.
A rectangle appears around a lassoed plant.
The plant name appears in the Title bar
Repeat click Names and ID for more plants and lassoed regions

Play around with the buttons.
When ready, click Go to resume.
Note: If you have clicked Previous, you may have to click Go until you get back to the image you paused at.

Burning the midnight oil eh? Judging by that post you have caught my affliction. Mind you I have another excuse - due to the time differences it gives me more time to communicate with our US and Canadian friends.

Glad you found out how to lasso and see the fun you can have when you get to running the slideshow.
Theres another nice touch to come. Remember the new zoom feature I mentioned here?

I will work that feature into GA014S14 (the slide show screen) so you can zoom in on the lassoed hotspots.

By coincidence, Ive been discussing the lasso feature with Mitch just before you posted this topic.
He told me he was using the lasso feature. I told him I had set a challenge on the forum for our members, but no-one had reported completion  :(
Here it is (Challenge No 3):

A nice touch to anyones WPG  ;)

To our members: Update that Challenge topic if you get it figured out folk.
