You select a plant in IG Pro or FG, and click the google button. The first page of results are returned.
Tip No 1 Look for a search result which discusses ONE plant, the one you have done the Google search on.
Why? If more than one plant is shown, then you'll probably have to search for the plant you are looking for in a list.
The plant may or may NOT have a hyperlink to a page with more info on that plant.
Tip No 2When you find a good web page, click the
+ button beside the
Surf Board button.
You'll see a message URL has been added to top of surf board.
Its a quick add. You dont need to click the
Surf Board button.
Click done
When you get back to the page where you want to enter data, click on the
Surf Board button (its on most data input screens)
The URL (web address) is at the top of the list, and can be copied and pasted into your data inout field.
NOTE 1: You can use the
Go to Web Address button in GA100S09 (IG Pro) or FG100S09 (FG) to revisit the web site at any time.
NOTE 2: You can copy data from the web page into the Surf board, of course, by clicking on the Surf Board button.
Tip No 3When I do a Google search for plant data, I look for my favourites in the search results, the web sites which I find offer best and reliable data for use in IGP and FG. Heres my personal favourites:
