You may remember I have mentioned our "Lollipop" tree in the garden.
Ian (Grumble) has PMed me asking what the tree is.
The tree was here at least 22 years ago when Lyn bought the house, we keep it trimmed in the shape of a lollipop.
In April it flowers as in these pictures, and although we constanly trim it to shape, later in the year we see a few green cherries on stalks.
A previous visitor suggested it may be a seedling Prunus, but the bark on the trunk is not like a normal Prunus, sorry no picture of the bark.
So if anyone has any clues to a name, please post here.
