Bank Genie
« on: September 07, 2010, 09:48:06 AM »
Hi George,

I don't know if you remember me "Bill".

Purchased Bank Genie back in 2007, we had a few contacts regarding the software and a couple of updates were made based on discussions we had.

I used to get regular emails from you with updates on what was going on but they seemed to stop some time back.

Bank Genie is still performing and serves my purpose very well.

The only problem I have is that the laptop I use is getting very tired and shortly will need to be replaced. I need to know can I transfer Bank Genie to a replacement machine along with all my accumulated data of the last 3+ years. Bearing in mind that it is running on XP at present and any new laptop will be Window 7.

Regards
Bill.

Hi Bill
Yes, I remember our communications very well. Its good to hear from you again.
I'd love to get more happening on the forum - Bank Genie wise. Perhaps one day!

Bank Genie was upgraded some time ago to Version 3, to "Works with Vista" standards.
Mercifully, it also works with Windows 7.

I'll send you an email later.

Ive been working for 2 years (on and off) on a new edition of Bank Genie.
Initially it was to be Bank Genie - Cambridge edition, but we got a little worried about the implications.
Its now going to be Bank Genie Pro - Software for Bank Account Management .
Bank Genie will continue to be marketed as is, and will be upgraded to inherit the new look and feel (and many nicnacs) as now featured in BG Pro.
i.e. there will be two editions of Bank Genie in the product list.
