It's been a busy time in the garden.

Apologies for my absence for a while.

As you can see it has been a busy time here, but we are now ready for our open days in a couple of weeks time.
We have a private group visiting tomorrow evening and had another last Saturday. One gentleman said "Nature is a wonderfull thing, but can be even better when helped by man"


The Patio in the Exotic garden. Even more colour in the next few weeks

Brugmansia 'A single yellow', 'Sunset'?

Is that a Dahlia? - left just through the gate? (Very early if it is!)
The plant with red flowers in the background - Oleander?
Behind the fence, right of Brug - a Salvia with red flowers?
OK, remind us all please, what is the star of the photo - the grass in those 2 blue pots?

In answer to your questions George.

The Brugmansia is the 'Single yellow' which was our first ever Brug, several sons or daughters later we still have the one in the picture. We don't know its proper name.

The Dahlia is 'Knockout', very Dark foliage and acid yellow flower. The first to flower this year, early I guess because they are in pots.

The plant in the background not Oleander, it is Callistemon citrinus 'Splendens'.

The salvia is Salvia microphylla 'Hot lips' . It has been in flower for weeks now, just beginning to get the white in the flower at this time.

The grass in the blue pots is Hakonechloa macra 'Alboaurea'.

Hoping for a bit more colour by Tuesday of next week, Garden News are sending a journalist to take piccies and an article.
