Congratulations to the proud parents Phil. That is great news. Thats a big boy!!

I hope you enjoy being a "Papa" as much as I do. They are like a breath of fresh air and make family get-togethers all the more exciting, watching them grow up (and they do that real quick!!)

Thanks all it certaintly is a breath of fresh air into your life, daughters partner is back at work today so we are expecting help me phone call, everytime we see the little fella he is a sleep  ::) because we have not seen him daily we can notice a change in size already, his parents have made plans already to get him a pony and a quad when he is older  ;D  ::) knowing their luck he may not even be interested in horses like they are, last count they had 12  :o

Hello Phil, I have just tuned in to this good news about David John. Very many and belated congratulations from Anthea and me. Grandchildren are wonderful - enjoy them without the responsibility. I would not be too sure he will enjoy horses. We had a horse and donkeys for many years mainly for our boys. They weren't all that interested  >:(. We had flocks of village girls all longing to do a bit of grooming and mucking out  though :). The spin off was that Anthea and I did most of the riding and I used to have a pre breakfast ride most days before departing for work. The best time of day for a ride too. Still, you never know, if he grows up with horses it will probably come naturally.
