I’m running IdeasGenie PRO5, and working with some of my Vegetable Plant Inventory.
Using GA003 CULTURUAL PROPERTIES and its GRADES, and the GA006 QUERY programs, I think I have come up with some methods of obtaining vegetable growing information when I might need it, plant by plant.
I can do searches under the vegetable growing topics of:
Vegetable Harvest Times (by Hume Seeds)
Vegetable Intervals between Plantings (by Hume Seeds)
Vegetable Maturity in Days
Vegetable Side Dressing (Fertilizing, When and How)
Vegetables needing to be Sowed Indoors
Vegetables needing to be Sowed Outdoors
Vegetable Succession Intervals (for Succession Plantings)
**Vegetable Companion Plantings (+), (-)
Vegetables by Family Names for Crop Rotation
GA006 QUERY PROGRAM will allow me to do print-outs from these searches, and take that printout to the greenhouse, to the grow light rack, or to the gardening bed(s) as needed.
To work best, you should have as many plants entered properly into your database as you can, it will then give you the most complete answers to the Queries.
** This Companion Planting one with its (+) and (-) gives me a list from my vegetable garden inventory as to which veggies can be planted with each other, that either ‘hate (-)’ or ‘love (+)’ each other.
