Any problems with the Date Calendar Control?
« on: August 28, 2006, 10:54:13 PM »
Trevor from England has reported an error when he gets to the screen in the Tasks program, where you choose dates for your tasks.
When you go to pick dates, you use a Calendar control. It shows one month at a time, and you can go forwards and backwards one month at a time etc.

Its the same control in Ideas Genie AND in Ideas Genie Pro.
The Tasks program in Ideas Genie is GA012.
The Tasks program in Ideas Genie Pro is GA047.

I'd very much appreciate feedback from you folk who use either of these products.
Does the screen with the calendar control work for you?

I'm pleased to say I found the solution to this problem, and have Trevor up add running.
The fix is available as a download, so if you are having this problem, heres the solution:

Click the following link to download a file.
http://www.ideasgenie.com/fixes/GA901-s05.exe
Choose the option: Run (not save)
Don?t change any settings.

Then
Click the following link for a second download.
http://www.ideasgenie.com/fixes/GA901-s05-ocx.exe
Choose the option: Run (not save)
Again, don?t change any settings.

Then start IG Pro
Under the System tab, click "Special - GA901"
Click Go

Hopefully you will get a message to the effect that it has registered successfully.
