The Manor House, Bledlow, Buckinghamshire

Yesterday, Lord Carrington opened his garden under the National Gardens Scheme. He does this twice a year so I think it is valid to post this in a section on good gardens to visit. I took about 70 shots so I will only post a small sample here. I have posted the rest on Flickr. The set is here if anyone is interested and if you click in the slide show symbol near the top right they will play through.

We were very lucky the rain held off.

I ended with Anthea in her wheelchair.

Hi Eric, its great and very welcome to see you posting photos of those fine houses and gardens which you visit.

Beautiful photos as always! I'm so pleased to see a garden that isn't suffering from this "Summer Horribilis".

Please pass my best wishes to Anthea, Eric. Its lovely to see her smiling and enjoying your day out.

Thanks, George. The garden has quite a number of sheltering walls and hedges which seem to have protected the plants from the ravages of the recent weather.
