Euonymus ?Wolong Ghost?
« on: July 27, 2006, 11:51:24 PM »
Spotted this plant on this web site:
http://www.griffithpropagationnursery.com/e.html
Scroll down page - its at the bottom

I'm very fond of the Euonymus varieties, for their lovely foliage and neat habit. Being evergreen, i find they make a good structure plant.
Anyone seen this one? Anyone grow it?
Do Euonymus make good flower arranging material Chrissie?

That's a lovely plant George!  I haven't seen it for sale here unfortunately.  Euonymus do make good flower arranging material, especially the shrubby or scrambling types as they are usually evergreen so they can be used all year round.

Yes, it certainly does look a lovely plant in that photo. It would be nice to see what its like it in real life though. Photos can be deceiving (certainly mine can be!!)
If its as good as it looks in that photo and fits their description, then its a good un!

I was quite keen to post the link to bookmark the site. They have a good range of interesting plants. Wonder if any of our US members have traded with them???

Done a check (in the RHS Plant Finder) and found that the plant has one supplier in the UK
Kevin Hughes plants, Southampton, England
http://www.rhs.org.uk/rhsplantfinder/Nurseryfinder3.asp?ID=2692&so=pf
Heres their list of plants:
http://www.rhs.org.uk/rhsplantfinder/plantlist.asp?code=SKHP+
Then I visit their actual web site and look at plants E-F
http://www.kevinhughesplants.com/plant_search.php?alpha=ef
and its not listed!

I'll send them an email.

Edited to say: They dont publish their email/ However theres another contact

Jooles Plants
Heucheras, Tisrellas, foliage, plants, Alpines and Lavenders.

With a bit of surfin, I found their website.

Its under construction, so lets keep it under observation.
