Argyranthemum
« on: October 20, 2012, 09:20:42 PM »
This plant is looking just fantastic at the moment, and its almost November! Ive seen it bearing a few flowers all over winter before, so I'm hopeful.

We had visitors today, so I thought I'd let Odhran tell you about it:

Its Argyranthemum 'Jamaica Primrose' actually.
Odhran knows that as well of course ::) ::) but he was in too big a rush today to waste time "on set".

Sadly George I'm not seeing that movie clip  :(

I've tried it in IE9, Firefox and Google Chrome.  All have the latest Apple QuickTime plugins installed, but all I'm getting is the audio - no picture.

Is anyone else having a problem?

Ive clicked the link myself and it runs OK under Quicktime.

Lets see if any other members have a problem with it - you gotta see the visual ;D

It could be the properties setting (which I tried to change but was denied)

Do these older ones work for you?

The two older movie clips you posted here George work for me just fine.

The first one is still blank video.

I can play all three.
Can one turn up the sound level? I'm not too sure how to run the application.
It's great watching Odhran and Grandpa playing in the flower gardens!

Figure this one George.

Thinking that it may have been the Apple QuickTime browser plug-in that was malfunctioning, I downloaded the video clip to my computer to try and play it on two stand-alone video players I have installed - (1)  Windows Media Player and (2) Jet Audio.

The video plays on both, but it is upside down in both players  :o  How weird is that!

I don't know what you've got that's different on your computer Toby, so well done you to be able to view them perfectly ::) - computers..................Aarrrgh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry George, but I couldn't stand on my head to view the clip so it's a no-go for me.

P.S.  Even the thumbnail view of the file is upside down before it's even opened for playing  ???
I have never had this phenomenon before.  All my other video files play perfectly on all the players I have.
For some unknown reason it just seems to be this particular video clip that has this issue.

I'm glad I'm not responsible for THAT software ;D Such strange behavior!!

Ive posted the forum link to Julian and Tara and both visited the forum and were able to play it perfectly.

Upside down?
You may recall that Eric (Hardy) reported that very same problem on the other two videos.
Perhaps you folk have the Australian versions installed :D ;D
Seriously, a little challenge for us to find a solution to that one :)

I'm glad you can see them Toby. I tried the volume control when I was playing with it originally (its visible on a little toolbar somewhere when you run the video).
I couldn't get it to increase either :(
Update: In Quicktime, you have menu options File, Edit, View, Window, Help.
Click Window. Click Show A/V controls. Under Audio, you can adjust the volume.
