A tip in relation to your second question on Cash Flow.
Under Transactions Tab, use the program Process Standing Orders (BS429).
Have a look at this screenshot (from the User Guide for BS429
http://www.bankgenie.net/UserGuide/429/bs429s01-1.gifIn particular, look at the Date Picker and Refresh buttons.
Use the Date picker (top right region of screen) and select a date in the future (I set it to about 6 weeks in advance).
Click the Refresh button.
Process all your pending Standing Orders.
Now use the program Transactions (tab) Manage Transactions (BS421).
The program will display a running balance as shown in this screenshot (from the User Guide for BS421)
http://www.bankgenie.net/UserGuide/bs421s01-1.gifYou can Exclude (temporarily of course) any transactions which may cause clutter (I don't).
Right click on the Exclude button and read up the User Guide notes and screenshots, in particular the Reconciling process.
Does that help?
A forum Tip for you John:
Please choose the option to Log in "Forever".
That way you wont be logged out just when you are about to post a message, having spent valuable time writing it!
Also (an appeal to all members) please don't log out.
It lets others see there is activity here. Nobody wants to "talk" when its an empty house
