« on: September 13, 2015, 10:59:47 AM »
Migrating from Quicken 2004
I have 2 BG licences on one I seem to be missing "start a new database"
although it does show "open another database". My other licence seems ok

Its File>Create a new database Charles.

But!
Are you sure that is what you need?
If you wish to share one database over two computers, its described in the User Guide here:
http://www.bankgenie.net/UserGuide/426/426.html

Note the trick about Make this my STARTUP database

Ho yes . . .of course ! I've done what you told me and all is ok now
and I can work like that.
I still wonder why I don't have the "create" option in the left side file list
Tried the repair option from the install disc but this doesn't fix it ?
Many thanks for your help, enjoying the challenge of using this new
software . . . . and . .most impressed with it !!

Gulp  :o :o :o
Anyone reading this - please don't do that!!
Not recommended. Instead, please contact me if something needs attention.
I'm sure there is an easier solution.

In this case, heres my first attempt.
In the treeview (the menu options down the the left side) click the Choose button to the right of the Favourites caption.
Takes you to a screen where you can toggle the Treenode options On or OFF.
What state is the entry:- Create a new database on your computer Charles (i.e. On or OFF?)?

Pleased to read you are impressed with Bank Genie  :)
