First timer & Folder List
« on: November 08, 2015, 02:01:22 PM »
I confess to having been using BGP4 for best part of 2 years and this is my first time query. It seems to be the custom not to directly confess to age, but I will say that when I first encountered a computer I had to write my own program in Fortran and then transfer the whole lot onto punch cards to feed down a phone line to the main IBM in London.

My query is: When I started I experimented with various methods of saving backups and I now have a list of unfindable folders in the "Show known folders" list. How can I prune out the surplus?

Hi John
Ive seen your member name among those logged in a number of times so I'm very pleased you have made your first posting!

I keep a folder in Outlook for correspondence with each user.
Ive checked and find this is our first contact since you chose Bank Genie Pro in June 13 :)
I hope you have enjoyed experimenting and exploring the many features!

In answer to your question, use the program Backups>BS491.
Using the Backup To pop-up, select one of your unwanted folders.
Then click the Edit button.
Screen BS491S03 will appear.
Click the Delete button.

Thanks to both George and Barry. It can be a problem when experience tells you there is bound to be a solution somewhere, but you just can't find it! Stand by for the next one.
