Its been quiet on the forum so I guess we have all been better occupied with the Christmas shopping

Its my favourite time of year. The family come here for Christmas dinner. On the day, the living room is locked while we wait patiently  until all guests have arrived.
Santa leaves a stocking by the Christmas tree for children young and old  so we all look forward to that.  That is followed by the opening of the pressies from under the tree which have been keeping the children in suspense for weeks now.

I'm hoping to find some time on the day for a music session. My instruments have been tuned and Ive been teaching James some new tunes on the tin whistle. Simon will have his guitar and everyone can sing along. Aoife (now 2) has delighted us all by her rendition of "Row, Row your boat" from her high chair - all recorded for posterity on Video

And from me too.
We don't bother much with it these days. Family turn up as and when they can before and after, but generally it is just the two of us on Christmas Day. so we treat it like any other weekend. Venison this time.

And a happy Christmas from me. We are having Benji here for four days over Christmas, starting tomorrow. Our youngest, Tom and wife Tabitha, Granddaughter Becky and husband Daniele, and two rather active great grandson's Zack and Damen (7 and 4) will be with us on Boxing day. Middle son, Mark and family are all in Canada and eldest son Adam came to stay last weekend. His gift was a Witch Hazel, including planting it for us.





He even cooked our evening meal for us.
