Weekend break
« on: November 12, 2016, 01:04:36 PM »
Mary and I are in Manchester for a short holiday, visiting Tara.
Now a tradition, we did the Christmas Markets yesterday.
Last night we watched the International football on TV and relaxed. Pleased to see our Northern Ireland team getting a very good win.
Setting off soon for a day visit to Chester.

Enjoy your break, George. We are not at all mobile now so all our Christmas shopping is done online.

Did not realise that you were coming so close to us, only another 20 miles on from Chester.

Thanks Eric and Eric ;D

I didn't realise you were so close either Eric!

We had lunch there and a spot of shopping and sightseeing. Fortunately the rain had stopped and we enjoyed the afternoon.
Its a lovely city.

Not really been to Chester since they increased the cost of parking at the Roodee from £1 to £7 quite a few years back. Our middle daughter lives just outside. We have only been there once too. Used to go round Chester frequently once upon a time.
