Ive just finished converting Bank Genie with my latest development software (Visual Foxpro 9)
There are two important new settings which a user can configure using the Preferences program.
1. The resizing featureIve added new programming code so that all screens can be automatically resized according to the user Screen resolution.
2 The Font additiveFont size can be controlled. The user can type in a number from 0 to 9
The number you enter is ADDED to the point size of the font.
0 is the smallest font additive (=no increase)
Numbers above 4 are impractical. The text will be too large to fit on some of the buttons and will be truncated.
Some guidance for your settings:If you have a setting= 800x600do NOT use resizing as Bank Genie is designed for this minimum screen size
Set font additive to 0
If you have a setting larger than 800x600Use resizing
If there are any problems, please report them to me as soon as possible.
If you have any serious problems, turn OFF resizing in Preferences.
I dont envisage any in standard hardware configuration.
However, this has not been tested in Split screens. Mike has this hardware configuration and has promised to do the test.
Pick a Font additive between 0 and 4
Just experiment and see what you like best!
When you choose a new setting, Quit and then restart Bank Genie, as the Program Selection screen fonts dont refresh (didnt have time to work on that yet)
Some things to consider:You get more lines in list boxes when you use setting = 0 due to the smaller font (e.g. in the list of transactions in the Transaction Analyser BS008)
The more you increase, the bigger the font, but the fewer the number of lines that will be displayed.
If you have good eyesight, Id recommend 0 or 1. It looks really neat.
This takes the software to a new release Version. (Version 2).
