Thats brilliant Billy. The slideshow is very impressive, but gosh, those leaves are just beautiful.

Was it difficult to create and add that slideshow to your web site? Disc space?

The slideshow is just 6KB George (and then the pics I suppose)
The slideshow is available (free) from DynamicDrive (the link is on the Slideshow page)
Simple enough to set up, but my antiquated html programme messes it up after I save and try to re open, so I have to make all changes on first go
Maybe you, as an expert programmer, can tell me how to change the background from white without then hiding the slideshow itself?

You could do that by editing the HTML document.
Ive had a look at the source behind the page. Heres how you do that.
Start the show.
Right click on the page
Click View Source
The source opens in Notepad (on my computer)
Its all done with a neat bit of scripting using Javascript.
You can edit the HTML content, of course (but locally, it wont change your web page on your site - only you can do that)
Its a simple matter of editing the source to add other content to the web page, then publishing the web page to your server again.
You could:
Add a Style sheet, to change the background, fonts etc
Add links to other pages on your web site, or external web sites.

I'll definitely look at this when I have time, and may make it an option in the Web Page Generator in IG Pro.

I have already edited the source to get what you see George
The problem is that when I change the background I lose the photographs ...  ...
The question was ....  how do I add a background without losing the slideshow itself?
I thought a background was exactly that ..  a background
In some way my proposed background (leaves.gif) obliterates the slideshow
EDITED: to add
OK ... it had to be something to do with an old HTML programme that I was using.  Apparently it is unable to recognise this new fangled Javascript   ....  and so it messes everyhting up once it is saved
I edited in notepad and 'hey presto' all looks good
Now George ...  what about an html lesson on 'styles'?

Its made a great improvement to the presentation, I have to agree. 
Good for you for your persistence!

Notepad is a very under-rated tool. Its VERY good for a lot of things, especially as a half way house for copy and paste.

It doesnt support tables, or advance formatting  - hence if you copy info from a table web page and paste into Notepad, it "cleans it up" - then you copy the text AGAIN, from Notepad, into your own document.
I taught that trick to my grandson one day. I thought he wasnt listening.
Next day, homeworks he used it - I was flabbergasted!!

In the case of web pages (HTM or HTML documents) it allows you to edit the raw source, and with a little bit of analysis, allows you to see whats wrong with certain pages.

Style sheets are easy enough, for the easy elements - fonts and backgrounds.

Incidentally, I dont do Javascript programming, and very few people who do web sites do.
Reason? Many people who DO write Javascript post it on the net, and people like us can dowload their good work for free, and stick it into our web pages - a dn we get cool effects to embelish our web pages.

As you have seen, I have developed my own WPG (Web Page Generator) for use with IG Pro.
Heres the output, and there are a few projects soon to be added by new members.

The WPG generates a set of web pages, using Page frames, and there is a style sheet in there (right click on a web page as described above,and view the source for any page and it can be identified in the code)
Once we get up to speed with a number of members on-line, we can then move on to allowing the members to edit those style sheets, and add backgrounds with GIF's.
Incidentally, the WPG has a resizer. It allows the members to take any jpg (of any size) and resize it to suit the layout of those web pages, all at the click of a button - code I picked up from a fellow programmaholic from Brazil - Cesar Chalom.
I can adapt the same code to create small GIF's for use as background.

Lessons to follow soon. IG Pro Upgrade (for Vista) to finish, tax return to do before 30th Sept - bah!

I have gone a little bit farther today if you want to have another look .......
Now what I need to know is how to keep my 'Back to Showcase' and my 'Back Home' links on the same line but one on the left margin and the other on the right margin
When I 'Align right' it works fine on a different line but not on the same line as the left aligned text
Now ...  off to check your style sheet

I use a table for links, Billy
In your case, create a table with one row and 2 columns
Put the left and right links in the columns.
If necessary,you can justify the text in the columns.

In the IG Pro WPG web sites Ive got a Previous and Next on the page with the plant photos which use that technique.
