Eric (palustris) had this to say about dianthus in another thread on this forum.

D. deltoides is a good easy plant. It sets seeds to so is dead easy to keep going.
I like the cushion type small flowered ones like D erinaceus etc.
Good info, and a UK Supplier for this plant here
http://www.kevockgarden.co.uk/plantlist/dianthus_erinaceus.htm I don't "know" this plant, but I have to say the description on the above page (and of course the nod from Eric) has me very interested.
I like small cushion forming plants, and that one looks real useful.
Thanks, Eric, for the introduction to that little beauty.
Ive now added it to the Master Database. If you have a photo, it would be very much appreciated for inclusion there.
