Page transition effects
« on: November 16, 2012, 10:47:07 AM »
Exploring the settings of Internet explorer 8, I clicked the Help-and the help topics were,er, no help ::)

Surfed and found this interesting page:-
http://www.boogiejack.com/transition_effects.html

To play with this:
Open IE
click Tools
click Internet Options
Click Advanced
Under Browsing, you'll find the checkbox for Page transition effects
Set it on and play with the links on the above site.

Here's one of the pages (wipes down):
http://www.boogiejack.com/transFX/5.html
If you click on that from any other browser, it appears it wont work (theres no special effect).

I have IE9 installed on my PC, but Microsoft has removed the Page Transitions feature in this version.

I use Firefox now anyway.

Its a lot of work for some people to do on their web sites only to find its no longer supported in next  version of IE. The fact that it doesn't work in Firefox (and others) would make it a non starter for me, but I thought I'd post that link as a reminder, and for others to play with the effects.
