Is anyone interested in learning what's involved in building a website?

I have a server dedicated to Forum Friends. If you'd like to share some of your garden photos, or if you feel like writing and publishing Gardening Articles, heres your chance.

Its a project we can work on over winter. However, keep snapping those plants as they peak, so you have lots of material.

For absolute beginners, I'll develop a program which will allow you to produce:
a) a web page from a list of plants
b) a plant profile - Plant info + Photo of any selected plant
c) an index page with a list of titles of photos, with links from the index to a page for each photo. You will be able to add a title and notes to go with each photo.
You'll be able to do this in Flower Genie and Ideas Genie and Ideas Genie Pro.

Instead of clicking a "Print" button, you'll click a "HTML" button, and the web page will be created.
A newfile will be created in a folder on your computer.

Then, all you have to do is use a special program to upload your files to the server.
If you can drag a file from one folder to another folder using "Windows Explorer", or "My Computer", thats about it!
All you will need will be the login details.

You can use Dreamweaver if you wish, André.
In fact you can do a little of both if you want to get really clever. You can take the web page created by Ideas Genie and add some fancy content to it - background, colours, style sheets, links, etc etc.

As we discussed in our email exchanges, I'll set up a web page for your nursery business in Texas.
Once its up and running, you can take over and edit it as you please.
When you've learned the ropes, you will have the confidence to go it alone.

72? To be able to stand in temperatures of 100 degrees to work with thousands of propagated cuttings, you could put a lot of younger folk to shame.
