Update, update
I revisted May's garden again, amd discussed the Papaver.
Its actually ONE of Christoper Lloyds plants, not a cultivar of that name.
I've been promised some seeds!
As for the garden visit, it was an open day, plant sales etc. Proceeds in aid of a dogs charity (?? name escapes me). Gosh, its heaven on earth. Her plants are just gorgeous.
Crawfordsburn is a micro climate. Its beside the sea, so frost is not as big a problem as in my region, a mere 30 miles away. I'm about 20 miles inland.
I'm hoping to document her plants collection. Ive got a list of 2 x A4 pages so far, of the ones that caught my eye.
It takes a keen eye to spot the beauties that aer NOT in flower. I saw this gorgeous glossy green leaved plant. I called our hostess. She got very excited - and told me she grew it from a cutting - a Daphne. Anyone grow Daphnes?
