Our favourites at the moment (mainly because they're the only ones we have) are
Oriental Poppies.
Early last year we planted
'Turkenlouis', which I posted photos of recently,
'Coral Pink' (Kathy sowed from seed) and
'Manhattan variety -
Patty's Plum''. The plants were a Gardeners' World offer. They didn't flower last year, just got the foliage.
We planted all three in the front and rear gardens. Only
'Turkenlouis' and
'Coral Pink' have flowered in both gardens this year. For some reason the other two haven't flowered at all. And lots of seeds were planted in the same area and at the correct depth.
They are about 3 to 4 feet in height and the blooms are about 5 inches across in each case and look beautiful.
