when I scan I don't see anything that gives me a choice as to the folder to place the scan. (I hope I'm saying that right.) it just appears as the newest jpeg image in My Documents.
Thats the method you are using to create your original jpeg.
The scanner appears to be making an image and putting it into the folder called
My DocumentsYou need to know the locations of TWO folders before you start GA051.
1. you need to know where the folder is with your originals. In GA051 this is referred to as the
Locations for Originals folder
2. you need to have an OUTPUT folder. In GA051 this is referred to as the
Locations for Reduced copies folder.
GA051 takes photos you select in the Originals folder (1) above and makes a special copy - a reduced in size copy - in folder (2)
NOTE: After you have created your images from your scans, open GA051 and do NOT do any more with the scanner.
Its job is done in creating the jpegsStart the program Tools->
Resize Photos - GA051 in Ideas Genie Pro
(1) Click the
Get a folder button beside
Location for OriginalsLocate
My Documents folder
When you do that, you should see your jpegs listed
If not click
Get a folder again and keep exploring until you find the folder with your scanned images
When you see them listed, proceed to (2)
(2) Click the
Get a folder button beside
Location for Reduced copiesLocate the folder you created called
temp dunce (Glad its only temp
)
Now set the values of
Max Height and
Max width to 600 (for use when posting on the forum)
Double click to select (and deselect) photos in the list to be resized.
When selected, three stars (***) are added as a prefix in the list
Click the
Do selected button
IG Pro will make reduced copies of the images you selected and add them to the
temp dunce folder
Go open that folder using
MY Computer and you should see your new images. Each should be less than 125kb in size
Then when you got to post a message, click
Additional options, click the
Browse button and locate the images in
temp dunceThat will fill the field in
AttachDo one image at a time per posting
