Slide show
« on: October 01, 2010, 05:33:33 PM »
I am in the process of trying to master Flower Genie but one thing I have not been able to accomplish so far is running a slide show.

I have created a garden and areas and alos added plants to these areas but when I try to run the slide show I can change to the various areas but now images show.

Any idea what I may be doing wrong.

Hi Jim, and a big warm welcome to the forum!
Good to see you have made your first posting. Don't hesitate to participate anywhere on the forum.

Flower Genie (FG) works on the principle of allowing you to link Photos to Plants OR photos to Garden Areas.
Since you aren't seeing anything when you do the slideshow in Garden Areas, I suspect you have only linked photos to plants at this stage.
Try this.
Use Quick Link Photos-FG030
Click the Find Folders with Photos tab
A list of any folders you have worked with in FG will appear in the list
(Click the Get a folder button if necessary to find more photos)
Left click on a folder in the list
The display changes to show a detailed list of the photos in that folder (tab changes automatically back to Link Photos)
Click in the list to select and display a photo of your garden
Note the two buttons under the photo
Their captions are Garden Photo and Plant Photo
Click the Garden Photo button
Continue in the next screen and link the photo to one of your garden areas.

Now run a slide show.
The photo should appear when you get to the appropriate Garden Area

Does that help?

Thats great Jim.

Have you tried the slide shows in FG037?
Click the Go button to start it.
If in Plants mode, the slide show is for your plant photos, if ypu have clicked Gardens, then Go, its a slide show for Gardens.
