On yer bike!
« on: June 27, 2013, 11:48:07 AM »
Julian (our son) bought me a bike for Christmas ;D

Here it is, planted up

Its really cute! We have it just outside our dining room window, in front of a patch of autumn flowering Anemone to brighten them up.
A few days ago a little bird perched on the crossbar and then up onto the handlebars. It had gone by the time I got my camera :(

I love it George - how quaint.

A very unusual addition (and further enhancement I must add) to your already beautiful garden  ;)

Thanks folk. Mary picked the flowers  8) I did the mixing. I was very pleased with the pot with one Petunia and two Viola - they work very well together. Ive made up a pot of Begonia semperflorens for the pot on the handlebars.
Now I have to think ahead and make up pots to switch in those pots need a rest.

Pleased to say those stabiliser plants seem to work well Phil - hasn't blown over yet :) Its in a fairly sheltered spot and shouldn't be hit by a strong crosswind.
'course its easy to ride it to another spot if its getting buffeted ;D
