Here is a very strange phenomenon. On the 1st February I took this picture of Fingest Church which is in the heart of the Chilterns (in Midsomer Murder country
) very close to us. It was at the height of the floods but as you can see, the ground was perfectly dry.
On the 8th March, after over a week of perfectly dry weather I was passing and saw this. I was amazed, it is not near a stream and in over 60 years I have
NEVER seen water in the graveyard. I am not sure where it all came from.
That strikingly large tower is Norman.
