Issuing Invoices

Using BG Pro for my business transactions I find that I need to issue invoices for services rendered.  I can't see how to do this fairly fundamental business task. Is this something that you're including in v5?

Bank Genie Pro is fine for Business bank account management and has features to deal with Purchase Invoices.
Extending that to a full Sales Invoice Processing is beyond the scope of the product.

However, I have developed our own internal Sales Order Processing system which is used to run our business.
Heres a quick list of the features:

• Process Sales Orders
• Quick entry of Orders taken on Romancart shopping cart (SagePay and Paypal payments)
• Store Customer details in a database table
• Customer lookup by name, email etc
• Create and Store Product details in a database table
• order acknowledgement template for each product
• order acknowledgement auto email generation
  (Bank Genie Pro and Ideas Genie Pro customers will have received one of these emails)
• Repeat Order capability per customer account
• Record despatches (full or in stages)
• Product licencing database and licence issuing tools
• Linked to Bank Genie Pro
• Creates a transaction record in Bank Genie Pro for sales amount
• Creates a transaction record in Bank Genie Pro for Postage and Packing
• Not yet, but could easily allow Invoice generation
• Not yet, but could easily allow VAT/Tax calculation
• Canvassing tools
• Mailshot generation and semi-auto SEND emails

If enough interest shown we could release this as a new product - after Bank Genie Pro upgrade to Version 5 is completed.

I would be very interested in this, at the moment i am using wave for email-able/printable invoices etc, i also make the same entry into BG

I would be interested in this product George. I think the issuing of invoices is integral to a business finance product and the ability to do this in a linked product would be just the job. Happy to beta test this for you if you want.

I used Bank Genie for 10 years and more before I decided to market it, Mike.
Likewise my SOP software. It helps to run our business efficiently.

What a coincidence. We were discussing this yesterday!

I'll be resuming work on Bank Genie Pro 5 next week Phil.

Development of that Sales Order Processing extension (Customers, Invoices, Products you sell etc) will follow the release of BG Pro 5.

George now BG6 is released whats the news on invoices etc, i use this to keep track of certain purchases etc but i am unable to print out, printable receipts would be a good feature,

Development of the new Investments program in Bank Genie Pro 6 was much more time consuming than I ever imagined.
There has been demand for that, fortunately

In relation to the Sales Order Processing product, further down this topic (4th Nov 14) I asked  "Anyone else interested?".

Unfortunately, there was no response.

James and I now share our Sales Order Processing (SOP) system.
He has the SOP system installed on his computer.
We share the data on Dropbox.
Now to make it into a distributable product!
I should be in a position to work on this in the coming months Phil.
