Snow in Ireland!! - 28th April 2016
« on: April 28, 2016, 09:56:50 AM »
We had a very brief respite from this awful spring last week - for about 2 days!
Then it turned bitterly cold (yet again!).
This morning I opened the blinds to see large flakes of snow falling :o
Fortunately it was only a brief shower.
I'm working through it all for a few hours each day but it sure is not pleasant  :(

We have had five consecutive mornings of frost. Thursday we had a brief sleet.snow shower! I was cycling and some settled on me for a few instants.

I'm surprised you've had a touch of the icy blast Barry. I look in envy at the temperatures you and the folk in south east of England enjoy - usually 4 to 8 degrees warmer than us and a lot more sunshine.

we had  some very cold nights with quite warm days. yesterday as 0C in the early morning (hence frost) and got up to 15C later. It was much colder a few days back (max 7C).

We were in a quaint and picturesque little seaside town called Carlingford in the Republic of Ireland for a family get together to celebrate Marys birthday over the weekend. It was a bit milder today for exploring the shops but it was a bizarre mixture of sudden, heavy showers followed by warm sunshine. Home again now but still in holiday mood. Garden can wait until Wednesday ::)
