yes around the "little garden" there are two rather small woods made mostly of laurels ,sambucus some celtis australis and acacia spina-christi, gets very dark and shady there,  and the ground under the trees is simply covered with ivy and some arum italicum, I actually hope to make it "colonize some areas as his variegated foliage is really decorative....and sort of "mouve" the landscape with other compatible species
As u might remember I made this year the "challange" of making a small secret garden inside a big blackthorn and cane  "territory" so I'm well prepared and aggressive towars "invasive plants"..... ( I bet I'm making Eric  Palustris horrify  (( ps ciao))by reading this :) )
