Over the past few months, many of our members have reported that our forum was not working.
Problem dates back to late August.
Our web hosting provider had transferred
Flower Genie to a new server.
No warning - it just happened - and everything stopped working.
Over a 3 month period it took many emails and many phone calls and many attempts by them to get the Forum database restored and to make the portal features work so i could perform critical operations.
Finally when the database was restored the forum still didn't work.
The forum software would not work on the latest version of PHP on that new server.
Fortunately my ex-colleague at Belfast Telegraph Newspapers (James Hill aka member tanathka on our forum) is an expert in mySQL and PHP and many thanks to him, the forum is now fully functioning again.
