Multi currency feature

Ive now made a significant change to Bank Genie to allow it to handle Multi currencies.

After downloading (see links below) you can now define the currency of each bank account, by editing the Account profile in BS003.
Theres a list of more than 150 currencies (I was surprised!)

Having done that, you can then see the Net Worth of your accounts in program BS018.
In fact, the program will calculate and display your Net Worth in any of the currencies defined in your accounts.

Ive built in a nifty feature which allows you to automatically download the very latest Exchange rates from the internet, for each currency used in your installation.
Read the Help in the program BS018. You have to click on a Refresh button to initiate the automatic download of Exchange Rates.

There are 2 Help buttons on that screen. Be sure to read each Help item.

Heres the instructions (Works for Bank Genie 3 only)

For peace of mind, Do a backup of your data files.
Then Download the following:

and finally, the updates Help files, and the new Currency files

When you have done the downloads correctly,
BS003 will indicate Version 9
BS018 will indicate Version 8

Once youve done that, you have to run the special program BS901 (as downloaded above) to amend the structure of your database to allow multi currencies. Do this:
Click the System tab on the menu, and start the program Special-BS901
Look at the title bar.
It should show:
BS901S32- Database alterations-Version 2
The Core Data folder is automatically selected for you. You should not have to change anything.
Once you are sure all is OK, click Go.

When the program has finished (it runs like a flash) , start BS003
Edit youir Bank Profiles (double click)
You will find a new currency pop-up.
Each of your accounts will show GBP (thats done by the Special program above)
Change to another currency if necessary and Save Changes.

NOTE: The transactions in your database are NOT, repeat NOT changed by changing to another currency.
Indicating the currency is for calculation purposes ONLY, all handles by Bank Genie
Thus, If you are just curious, make them all different currencies just to see how the feature works.

Then start BS018 Net Worth.
Read the Help and see the results.
