Dianthus erinaceus

Eric (palustris) had this to say about dianthus in another thread on this forum.

I don't "know" this plant, but I have to say the description on the above page (and of course the nod from Eric) has me very interested.
I like small cushion forming plants, and that one looks real useful.

I will have to go searching, but the only one I can think of is one of the cushion without the flowers.

No rush Eric! I read that its a bit sparse with flowers.
Its that mound effect that would be useful in itself as I read that the foliage is quite nice.

How did they do in your garden? Does it come through the winter reliably?
