Eric, any photo you want to post on the Forum must be within the following parameters:
- No wider than 660 pixels; any bigger and you get a horizontal scrollbar, which doesn't look very attractive.
- The size in kilobytes (kb) should be no more than 128kb.
- The photo here can be jpg format.
When you want to insert a photo into a topic you have started, click on the little button (second from left above the 'smiley faces'), hovering your mouse over this button will say
"Insert Image". When you do this you will see the following text inserted -
img /img surrounded by square brackets -
[ ].
You need to insert the FULL path to your photo in between the two middle square brackets -
img]Insert link here[/img.
An example in your case would be:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/erichardyuk/190301827/in/set-72157594186256751/photonamehere.jpgThis is the exact link text that the Forum software expects. ONLY insert the photo name with its
.jpg extension at the end of the link, and don't add the photo size or anything else in this coding.
If you then click the Preview button before you post your message you can confirm that the link to your photo is working.
If you get a small box with a red
X in it, then your link is not correct. Check the directory path AND make sure the photo name is typed exactly the same as the one at Flickr.
Then post your message as normal.
If you have any problems or queries just get back to me.
Laurie.
