NOTE: Linking to a Garden Photo is explained below You can also link plants to photos with program
FG037. However, program FG030 is best if you have just returned from a photo shoot and have uploaded your files to the computer :
- You will have a mixture of Plant Photos and Garden Area photos in the folder.
- Once you link one photo, all photos in the folder are listed.
- You will then be able to deal with each photo in sequential order.
- The program allows you to add new plants to the database as you review the images.
FG030 allows you to pick and choose, and link as you go.

FEATURE to be explained Once you have linked a photo in a folder to either a Plant or a Garden Area,
Flower Genie stores the path to the folder in the database. The path is added to the Paths to Photographs on my computer
pop-up in the initial screen, FG030S01. Get familiar with all the pop-ups on that screen. The Photo Types pop-up
- Use this pop-up to filter the list by file extension type (e.g. jpg)
- The pop-up is set as default to the type of photo first linked from the folder
- setting is By default, only UNLINKED photos are displayed in the list.
This means that the listing gets smaller as you link the photos to Plants or Garden
Areas
The List Unused/List ALL pop-up
- This pop-up makes it easier to work through the photos in each folder until all photos are linked
- The default setting is List Unused Photos ONLY
- Try this: Change the pop-up setting to List ALL photos
The list now show both LINKED and UNLINKED photos
- Note that the listing also obeys the Photo Types pop-up setting.
The Paths to Photographs on my computer pop-up
- When you link up a photo from a folder, Flower Genie adds the path to this list
- The pop-is set automatically after you link a new photo in a session using FG030

pop-up and the List Unused/List ALL pop-up
